Vault Sound Detection Systems
The Potter Amseco VSA series is a self-contained sound detection system listed by Underwriters Laboratories for the primary protection of reverberant and non-reverberant vaults, such as bank and mercantile vaults.
The VSA-1 combines the main controller and microphone in a single enclosure, with single button system balancing, a built-in test button and sounder, and manual sensitivity adjustment, and it is powered by the alarm panel. Its microprocessor driven DC differential balance control alarms through SPDT relay contacts if the microphone circuit impedance increases or decreases, and an on-board accumulator lets the system alarm after a set number of pulses, adjustable from 0 to 9, within a 10-minute time frame. The VSA-1K kit includes a VSA-1 and an RTA remote test annunciator, and the VSA-2K adds a VSM microphone and can be expanded to a total of ten microphones.
