Magnasphere Alarm Contacts and Security Switches

Surface Mount and Recessed Alarm Contacts

The MSS line covers everyday openings. Surface mount contacts are listed with armored cable and with jacketed leads, as single switch closed loop units in SPST normally closed configuration, as two switch units with one open loop and one closed loop, and as two switch units with both loops closed. Typical ratings are 30 V DC and 250 mW with a 0.28 inch standard gap, and sizes run from a 2 inch body to a 2 1/2 inch body with 12 inch leads in grey or white.

Recessed contacts include 1 inch models in single and dual switch versions, in white, grey and black, and fire-rated versions are listed for doors that need them. See security contacts.

High Security Contacts

The HSS L2 series is the high security line, listed to the UL634 Level 2 High Security Standard for SCIFs, safes and vaults and other high level secure applications, with labor saving installation features including embedded EOL resistors on some models. Single and dual alarm versions are listed, in aluminum with tamper circuits, with and without embedded resistors. Brackets, Cable and Install Parts

Mounting hardware is listed per contact family: Z brackets and L brackets for the HSS L2S and L2D series, a Z bracket for the HS-L1.5, L brackets for the MSS-300S series and for MSS-63S and 2.5 inch MSS surface mounts, a 3 inch HSS spacer and a mounting tab kit that retrofits a switch module into an ANSI cutout. Cable and service parts include 25 ft armored cable, armored cable routing clamps in bags of 3 and removal tamper cap kits in bags of 5. See accessories.

Motion Sensors and Tilt Switches

Motion sensors cover an indoor and outdoor unit and an FMCW radar-based model with dual sense zones, a pet filter and four relay outputs that works with any panel, along with WiFi and USB dongle kits for programming it from a mobile device. Tilt and disturbance switches are listed in unidirectional and omnidirectional versions, in ABS with RoHS and UL 634 listings, for industrial and vehicle applications.
