Locknetics Electric Strikes and Electromagnetic Locks

Electric Strikes

Strikes are chosen by the lock they receive. The NC450 converts standard cylindrical locks to electronic access control, at 9/16 inch deep with no cutting required, for aluminum or wood frames, with selectable 12/24V DC, UL burglary resistance, up to 1500 lbs of static strength and a 70 ft.-lb. dynamic rating. CS Series strikes are listed with a 4-7/8 inch faceplate and a 9/16 inch or 3/4 inch keeper, MS Series versions are fire rated and ship with five faceplates, and the MDS100 is a heavy duty strike for mortise and cylindrical lock sets with vertical adjustments and mounting tabs for aluminum frames. Surface mounted RS Series rim strikes are UL1034 and UL294 listed for rim exit devices with a 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch throw Pullman latch bolt. Most are field selectable fail-safe and fail-secure, fail-secure by default, by reversing a screw.

Electromagnetic Locks

Magnetic locks are specified by holding force, single or double, and by where they go. The WMG1200 is a weatherproof surface mounted single magnet with a stainless steel housing, fire-rated epoxy seal and magnetic bond sensor, rated up to 1200 lbs of holding strength, UL10C single door listed, field selectable between 12VDC and 24VDC with a built-in voltage spike suppressor. The MG1200DT is a dual voltage double magnet at 1200 lbs with a bi-colored LED bond sensor, removable PCB, door status monitor and adjustable re-lock timer. The M400 Series is listed at up to 1500 lb rated hold force with bayonet mounting so the lock is not held overhead during installation, an armature mount pivot for a better bond, field-selectable handing and automatic voltage sensing for 12 and 24 volts with polarity protection. Z and L brackets in aluminum are listed for glass, inswing and gate applications.

Readers and Digital Keypads

Readers are the aptiQ multi-technology line, listed in mullion and single-gang bodies and as a reader with an integral keypad, reading proximity credentials as well as aptiQ smart credentials. The SM10 smart mini-mullion reader covers tight stiles in a smart-only installation, operating on a Wiegand interface and ISO compliant, indoor or outdoor. Digital keypads are listed for standalone code control of up to four devices, programmable to 480 users with 1 to 6 digit codes, backlit keys, 12/24 VDC, switch contacts rated 2A/30VAC/VDC, timed anti-pass back and a 302 stainless steel gang plate.

Exit Buttons, Keyswitches and Touchbars

Request to exit hardware is listed as 620 Series push to exit buttons in red and other colours, aluminum touchbars at 36 inches for push to exit across a full leaf, and single gang plates carrying two red and green LEDs for status. The 650 Series keyswitches use a magnetic spring design so an installer sets clockwise or counterclockwise key turn and momentary or maintained action in seconds, in single gang and narrow stile sizes, with options for a heavy-duty plate, weather resistant cover, two green and red LED lights, an anti-tamper switch and a Locknetics Everest cylinder, in 630 satin stainless steel and five additional architectural finishes.

Power Supplies, Boards and Controllers

Power supplies and option boards use a flat mounting design with polarized locking connectors, which removes the racks and side connectors and leaves the terminal blocks reachable for wiring electrified strikes, magnetic locks and card readers. Option boards are listed by zone, including a 2-Zone EL board with a fire alarm input, along with a battery backup kit holding two 7A/hour batteries. An offline controller for a single opening is listed for 5000 users over Wiegand.

Door Cords

A door cord carries wiring from the frame to the leaf for a lock or contact mounted on the door. Medium duty cords are listed with aluminum end caps and a stainless steel cable, with inside and outside loop diameters of 5/16 inch and 7/16 inch, in 12, 16 and 20 inch sizes and finishes including oil rubbed bronze. Light duty versions are listed at 12 inches with a stainless steel cable and silver plastic caps.
