Surface Mounted Door Closers

The 4040XP is the heavy duty Grade 1 surface closer, with cast iron cylinder assemblies, a 30 year limited warranty and models rated for 3 hour fire doors, and the 4040XPT is the track arm version. The 4030 Series covers the 4031 regular arm closer, and the 4041 delayed action closer shares the family. Mid range closers include the 1250, a Grade 1 surface closer with a regular arm and PA shoe for push or pull side mounting, a 180 degree swing and adjustable size 1 to 5, along with the 1260, 1261, 1450, 1460 and 1461. Those closers suit interior doors 24 to 60 inches wide and exterior doors 24 to 48 inches wide, and take hold open, CUSH and spring CUSH arms with plastic or full covers.

The 4110 Series is built for institutional and rugged high traffic openings, including the 4111 for doors 28 to 42 inches wide, the 4116 for doors 42 to 48 inches wide and the 4110T track version. Lighter and specialty models include the 4010, the 4020 with fusible link arms and the 4050A.

Concealed Door Closers

Concealed closers hide the closer in the door or the frame. The 2010 Series uses track bumpers that assist backcheck and limit maximum opening, the 2030 Series runs on quiet low friction track rollers, the 2034 is a Grade 1 concealed closer with a standard track in size 4 and a 15 year limited warranty, and the 3130 Series adds hold open track rollers.

Fire and Life Safety Closers and Holders

Electrified closer holders keep a fire or smoke barrier door open and release it when current is interrupted, so the door closes. The 4040SE Sentronic line pairs the closer with a 24V track and the 4040SEH adds a hinge side mount holder track and arm, both listed to UL 10C. The 4310ME on and off switch assembly provides continuous hold open at 24V or 120V, the 4314ME is a swing free single lever track arm closer holder and the 4414ME is the double lever arm version, both with infinitely adjustable hold open for interior doors. The 3130SE puts a 24V holding solenoid in a concealed track with circuitry that accepts AC or DC input. SEM7810 and SEM7830 electromagnetic holder parts cover ball pivots and connection links, extensions and surface mount boxes.

Low Energy and Automatic Door Operators

The 4630 and 4631 electrohydraulic operators and the 4640 and 4642 Auto Equalizer are electrically powered low energy operators for manual openings that occasionally need to open automatically, aimed at easy access for people with disabilities, the elderly or the frail, and listed in 120V with standard or regular arms. The 6440 COMPACT is a low energy operator conversion kit with a gearmotor assembly, mounting plate and screws, plastic cover, power supply, door loop and 30 feet of copper wire, and the 6440XP is a surface mounted electrohydraulic operator with a double lever arm and PA bracket.

The 9540, 9542 and 9550 Senior Swing operators are Grade 1 surface mounted electromechanical operators, listed with a 36 inch header for doors 33 to 48 inches at a 90 degree swing, and their motor gearboxes provide 15 lbs of opening force. The 9140 Benchmark operators and 4820 pneumatic operators fill out the range, with 7900 Series control boxes, power supply and terminal boards and a 0 to 30 second timer module behind the pneumatic operators.

Actuators, Receivers and Control Boxes

LCN actuators, sensors and transmitters are listed in the 8310 Series, including a 433MHz 1-channel wireless RF receiver with a sequencing feature, wall mount actuators with logo and text, and mounting boxes in flush jamb mount and 4-1/2 inch round surface mount versions. Control boxes accept normally open inputs from hardwired or wireless actuator and receiver combinations, and one model runs two doors or four door leaves on independent circuits.

Closer Arms, Tracks, Covers and Service Parts

Service parts make up most of this catalog. Arms include the 3049 hold open arm, an optional non-handed arm that mounts hinge side, top jamb or parallel arm with the 62PA shoe and adjusts for hold open at the shoe, and the 3049CNS HCUSH arm with templated stop and hold open points. Cylinders include the 3071 cast iron cylinder assembly. Mounting and trim parts include the 18PA drop plate for parallel arm mounting where the top rail is under 4-3/8 inches, 1450 Series shaft covers and CUSH shoe supports, 72 plastic covers, 3034 track rollers and thru-bolt and machine screw packs.
