Keedex Weldable Gate Boxes and Door Hardware
Keedex makes the steel that goes around a lock rather than the lock itself: weldable gate boxes and lock boxes, electric strike boxes, armored door loops and flex conduit, Protect-A-Lok and cylinder guards, and a range of locksmith and safe tools. Browse the full Keedex catalog below.
Weldable Gate Boxes
A weldable gate box is welded into a gate and the lock is mounted into the box. Most are 14 gauge steel, with 10 gauge versions listed for the heaviest gates and an aluminum version for an aluminum frame.
Boxes are listed by the lock they are cut for. Mortise boxes cover the Schlage L Series, Sargent 7800 and 8200, Yale 4600, 8600 and 8700, Corbin Russwin 5000 and ML200, Falcon M Series and BEST 34H to 37H. Cylindrical boxes cover Schlage Rhodes and many other lever sets on a universal hole pattern. Electronic and access control boxes are listed for Simplex 1000, KABA Access 1000, L1000 and 5000, Alarm Lock cylindrical, Salto, OSI Omnilock OM100, 300, 500 and OP200, SAFLOK 2500 Classic mortise, Codelock 500 and TESA entry systems.
Blank boxes with no holes are listed for a shop that cuts its own prep. Single and double lock boxes, offset mortise boxes, oversized 8 by 15-1/2 inch lever prep boxes and heavy duty reinforced boxes cover the rest, in 2-3/4 inch backset with a 2-1/8 inch hole.
Electric Strike Boxes
Electric strike boxes are the same idea for the strike side of the opening. They are listed by the strike they take: Von Duprin 6211 and 6112, Folger Adam 712 and 712-75, HES 5000, HES 5900 prepped for a large ANSI strike, HES 7001, Trine EN400 and Adams Rite 7100, 7101, 7140, 7160 and 7240.
All are weldable and 14 gauge steel. The box is listed for the strike it is cut for, so the model has to match.
Armored Door Loops and Flex Conduit
An armored door loop is flexible conduit between the door and the frame, for an electric lock on a moving door. Loops are listed in 1/4 inch and 3/8 inch flexible conduit, at 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 45 and 60 inch lengths, in aluminum, black, white, dark bronze and stainless steel finishes.
Flex conduit is also sold on its own: 1/4 inch stainless steel in 10 foot increments, 3/8 inch stainless steel in 50 foot increments up to 250 feet, and 18 foot lengths of both. End caps are listed in packs of 2 with stainless screws in stainless and powder coat black, with connector kits containing a base, connector, C clip and screws, and door loop covers in aluminum and black.
Protect-A-Lok and Door Guards
Protect-A-Lok covers the latch side of an exit device so it cannot be reached from outside. Versions are listed for Sargent and Yale exit devices, with a 2-1/2 inch projection standard, and large and extra large sizes at 12, 24, 34 and 41 inches in stainless steel, plus a cream coloured version.
Guards cover the rest of the opening: weldable lever guards at 10 by 16 inch with a 2-3/4 inch backset and thru bolt holes, knob guards for gates at 4 inch and 8 inch, cylinder guard rings in a Duranodic powder coat, and a double door style guard in aluminum. Installation templates are listed for Adams Rite 1850S, 4530, 4710 and 4711.
Locksmith and Safe Tools
The tool side covers safe work and door prep. Safe tools are listed as change key sets including a 12 piece set and a GSA type set, with individual replacement change keys for Mosler, Diebold, LaGard, AMSEC and S&G 8077 locks. Carbide tip safe drill bits are listed at 1/4 by 4 and 1/2 by 6, with a safe repair kit and its ball bearings and taper pins sold separately.
Door and cylinder tools cover a master follower for Corbin Russwin, roll pin kits in standard and metric, a mortise cylinder screwdriver, a tamper resistant spanner screw kit, fiberglass wire running rods with threaded brass connectors in 39 inch sections, and a door laser guide for core drilling. One tool is listed for sale only to locksmiths and law enforcement agencies.
