The HID 1386 ISOProx II combines 125 kHz proximity access control and photo identification on a single card. It meets ISO standards for thickness at a nominal 0.030 inches, so it runs through direct image and thermal transfer card printers - you print the badge and encode the credential in one piece of plastic instead of issuing a separate prox card and photo ID.

The card offers universal compatibility with all HID proximity readers and is RF-programmable to your specified ID numbers, with format capacity up to 85 bits and over 137 billion unique codes. An external number is printed on each card for identification and control, and HID supplies a cross-reference list matching that external number to the programmed ID number so a batch enrolls into your access software quickly.

Construction is a thin, flexible PVC laminate that is strong and resistant to cracking and breaking, and the passive, no battery design allows an infinite number of reads. Slot punch locations are marked for both horizontal and vertical orientation, so the card suits either badge holder style. Custom multicolor graphics and text are available, and HID backs the card with a lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I print photos and names directly on this card?
Yes. That is the point of the ISOProx II. It meets ISO thickness standards, so it feeds through direct image and thermal transfer card printers and gives you a badge and a credential in one card.
How is this different from the 1326 ProxCard II?
Thickness and printability. The 1326 is a 0.075 inch clamshell that is not directly printable. The 1386 is a 0.030 inch ISO card that is. The clamshell is thicker and cheaper; the ISOProx II is the one to buy when you need photo ID.
Will these work with my readers?
The ISOProx II offers universal compatibility with all HID proximity readers. If your system reads 125 kHz HID Prox today, these will read on it, provided they are programmed with the matching format and facility code.
What do I need to tell you when ordering?
Your card format, facility code, and starting number, plus your slot punch preference. Cards are encoded to customer specified ID numbers, and one programmed to the wrong facility code will not open anything on your system. If you are adding to an existing population, send a sample card number or your original order details.
Does the card come slot punched?
The standard card has slot punch locations marked for both horizontal and vertical orientation, and the punch itself is an ordering option. Specify horizontal or vertical to match your badge holders and lanyards.
How does the read range compare to a clamshell card?
Slightly shorter. Expect roughly 2.5 inches at a ProxPoint Plus, 5 inches at a MiniProx, ThinLine II, or Prox80, 7 to 8 inches at a ProxPro or ProxPro II, and up to 20 inches at a MaxiProx. Local installation conditions affect actual range.
Does it need a battery?
No. The design is passive, drawing power from the reader field, which allows an infinite number of reads with no maintenance.
Can I get our logo pre-printed on them?
Yes, custom multicolor graphics and text are available, as is external numbering by inkjet or laser engraving. Note that HID cautions custom graphics may increase overall card thickness, which is worth checking against your printer and any tight badge holders.
Will it survive daily carry?
The PVC laminate is strong, flexible, and resistant to cracking and breaking, and the card is rated from -50 to 160 F (-45 to 70 C). It is thin enough to sit in a wallet with credit cards, and read range is unaffected by carrying it near keys and coins.
