George Risk Industries (GRI), a family-owned US manufacturer based in Nebraska since 1965, is best known in the security industry for its magnetic reed switch door and window contacts. Door & Window Contacts

GRI magnetic reed switches are the core of the line and a long-standing standard for intrusion door and window contacts. The range spans surface-mount and recessed contacts in a wide selection of gap sizes, wide-gap overhead-door contacts such as the 4400 series for industrial and garage doors, miniature contacts for tight frames, and models with normally-open, normally-closed, and SPDT loop options to match any panel and zone configuration.

Environmental & Specialty Sensors

Beyond contacts, GRI builds environmental monitoring devices including surface-mount water and liquid detection sensors that protect computer rooms, equipment areas, and basements, along with pool alarms and temperature and humidity sensors. These integrate with alarm panels and remote signaling the same way a standard contact does.

Proximity Sensors, Pushbuttons & Peripherals

GRI also manufactures proximity sensors, pushbutton momentary-action switches for request-to-exit and control functions, and data entry peripherals such as custom keyboards and engraved keycaps for OEM and industrial applications.
