A telephone entry system is how a visitor at the gate reaches a resident inside. Visitors are identified by voice communication and can be granted or denied access directly from a touch-tone telephone, and DTMF tone output lets these systems work with PBX, KSU and telephone systems with auto-attendants.

The range is listed by size of the site. Compact units suit small residential or commercial applications and applications with limited space, including versions for sites that do not require a directory or where a separate directory already exists. The 1835 adds a single-line LCD display with big characters, and the 1837 carries an eight-line LCD, a built-in electronic directory, Remote Account Manager programming software and a card reader interface that accepts up to 16 readers, which is what a medium to large apartment or gated community needs.

The Access Plus line adds computer programming and control. The 1812 Access Plus is PC programmable and IP addressable, controls a main door or gate and expands to control up to six additional access points, and the 1816 expands the No Phone Line intercom interface from a single phone line up to 11 phone lines. Surface mount and flush mount versions are listed for each model, with stainless steel and gold plated faceplates.
