One reader, two systems. That is the situation a splitter is bought for: a door that has to report to both an access control panel and a time and attendance system, or to a legacy panel and its replacement during a changeover.

The intelligent splitter creates two unique Wiegand outputs from a single Wiegand input, so each destination sees its own signal rather than a shared one that can be loaded down by the other.

An isolation module is listed to provide isolation between different Wiegand signal sources, allowing multiple sources on the same installation without one interfering with another. Isolation is used where multiple signal sources are on the same installation.
