Interchangeable Cores and Keys

Cores are listed in 6-pin and 7-pin, by keyway, with A, G, K and Q among the standard keyways in satin chrome. Key blanks run across standard and premium keyways including H, L, M, DEFG, WB and WY, with patented Peaks blanks and control key blanks for removing and swapping cores. A 7-pin construction core is listed in green, and an interchangeable core is swapped with a control key instead of stripping the lock.

Mortise Locks

The 45H and 40H lines are Grade 1 mortise locks prepped with an SFIC housing less core, listed by function, lever design and trim: storeroom, office and double cylinder storeroom with deadbolt, with 14, 15 and 16 lever designs against H and other roses or a J escutcheon, and field reversible handing. Lockbody only listings cover the lock body on its own, and the IDH MAX line is listed with the 45H mortise locks. Finishes run across 626/US26D satin chrome, 605/US3 bright brass and dark oxidized satin bronze oil rubbed.

Cylindrical and Tubular Locks

Cylindrical locks are listed by series and function: Grade 1 in 8K knob and 9K lever, with storeroom, entrance and privacy functions, SFIC less core, non-handed. Grade 2 comes from the 5K, 6K and 7KC lines, listed by function such as D-Storeroom with field reversible handing. Tubular deadbolts are listed in the T series with 2-3/8 inch deadbolt tubes and in the 7T series with a 2-3/4 inch backset, SFIC prep and drive-in bolt.

Electromechanical Locks

The 45HW mortise locks and 9KW lever locks are the electrified versions of the same Grade 1 lock bodies. Each is listed as electronically locked or electronically unlocked with fail safe or fail secure operation at 24V or 24VDC, most with request to exit, and with the same lever and rose designs as the mechanical versions. Electronic keypad locks are listed with SFIC prep less core, and accessories cover wiring harnesses, offline lock programming cables and battery packs.

Mortise and Rim Cylinders

E Series cylinders carry the SFIC prep into other manufacturers' hardware. Mortise cylinders are listed at 1-1/8, 1-1/4 and 1-5/8 inch length, 6-pin or 7-pin, less core, and chosen by cam: a C4 straight cam for 40H and 45H lock bodies, a C181 straight cam for Adams Rite, and a C229 cabinet cam on slabbed lost motion cylinders supplied with a ring package. Rim cylinders are listed with a standard spindle in the same SFIC prep.

Padlocks, Cabinet and Switch Locks

B Series brass padlocks take a 7-pin housing so they key into the same system as the doors, listed by shackle diameter at 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 inch, by shackle length and material, and in weather cover, frangible shackle and case drilled variants. L Series cabinet locks accept all BEST cores and are listed by mounting and latch type, with rim and mortise mounting, latchbolt and dead-locking versions and a coin box lock. W Series electric switch locks put a keyed switch on the wall, listed as single switch SPDT or dual switch with 2 SPDT and by key position.

Service Equipment
