Deadlatches
Adams Rite Deadlatches
Adams Rite deadlatches provide flexible traffic control for narrow-stile aluminum and glass doors, letting a financial, healthcare, or retail entrance allow free two-way traffic during business hours and switch to exit-only at other times. Entry is by keyed mortise cylinder or an access control device such as a card reader or keypad, while the inside is operated by a paddle or handle. Most models are designed for paired out-swinging stile doors and also work on single doors, and many integrate directly with access control systems.
4300 Electrified Deadlatch
The 4300 electrified deadlatch (Steel Hawk) is a non-handed, narrow-backset unit built for hassle-free integration with access control on narrow-stile aluminum doors. Entry is granted by keyed mortise cylinder or by an access control reader or keypad, and the door is operated from the inside through a paddle or handle, so locked entrances are controlled electronically as part of the overall security plan.
4510 & 4530 Standard-Duty Deadlatches
The 4510 Series is a standard-duty deadlatch for two-way traffic control where flexible flow matters more than maximum security. The 4530 offers the same standard-duty operation and fits the stile cutouts of discontinued 4250 deadlatches and older MS1850 deadlocks, making it a clean retrofit for existing openings.
4900 & 4920AN Heavy-Duty Deadlatches
The 4900 is a heavy-duty deadlatch that lets a locked entrance be used as an exit by people already inside, and it retrofits to discontinued 4700 and existing 4510 preparations. The 4920AN heavy-duty ANSI deadlatch adds a key-controlled bolt hold-back for free entry at set times, and replaces 4720 ANSI and existing 4520 deadlatches.
4781 Two-Point Deadlatch
The 4781 latches to both the header and the threshold instead of a single horizontal-throw latchbolt, keeping both leaves of a pair active without pinning one door with flush bolts. It is designed for paired out-swinging doors, works on single doors as well, and is not a substitute for an exit device.
