Seco-Larm SM-216Q/GY Surface-Mount Wide-Gap Magnetic Contact, 2-3/4" (70mm) Gap, N.C., Gray, Mounting Tabs

When it's unrealistic to use recessed magnetic contacts for your defense system, use SECO-LARMs SM-216Q/GY Wide Gap Magnetic Contacts. The Seco-Larm SM-216Q/GY grey contact is designed for use with hard-to-mount installations, windows, and misaligned doors.

The magnet will operate the contact from almost any direction. These wide gap contacts work even with separations over 2-3/4" (70 mm). They measure just 2" x 3/8" x 3/10" and come with mounting screws and adhesive tape for installation. They also contain a sensor and magnet as well as covers and spacers (Model SM-816-2Q).

For mounting on steel doors and windows, a spacer or stronger magnet may be necessary. The contacts have a unique Rhodium plating that has gone through a special oxygen treatment to eliminate absorption of organic impurities, polymer growth, as well as the possibility of contact freezing. These advanced contacts are incredibly reliable, especially at the lower load levels normally used in security systems.
