The Von Duprin PS914RFK is a high-inrush access control power supply retrofit kit designed specifically for replacing an existing PS873 power supply without replacing the installed PS873 cabinet. The retrofit configuration allows legacy Von Duprin power installations to move to PS900 Series electronics while retaining the existing enclosure and associated field wiring where compatible. It is intended primarily for electrified exit devices and related access control hardware requiring regulated low-voltage DC power.

The PS914RFK accepts 120/240 VAC, 1.4 A, 50/60 Hz input and provides field-selectable 12 or 24 VDC output. The retrofit supply is rated for 2 A DC continuous output and can deliver a 24 VDC, 16 A inrush for up to 300 milliseconds when powering compatible Von Duprin or Falcon devices. This high-inrush capability supports solenoid-operated electrified exit hardware that requires substantially more current during initial activation than during normal holding operation.

The retrofit platform supports compatible 900 Series option boards for relay control, sequencing, battery backup, and fire alarm interface functions. Available replacement configurations include the 900-2RS two-relay board, 900-4RL relay board, 900-2Q board, 900-BB battery backup board, and 900-FA/900-8F fire alarm interface components. These boards provide migration paths for many common PS873 option-board configurations while allowing the existing cabinet to remain in service.

The Von Duprin PS914RFK operates from 32 F to 120 F (0 C to 49 C) and includes AC input and DC output status indicators for system monitoring. Its AC monitor provides Form C contacts rated at 30 VDC, 1 A resistive load. The power supply is UL 294 listed, ULC-S318 compliant, RoHS compliant, and FCC Part 15 compliant with a Class 2 output, making it suitable for commercial access control retrofits involving compatible Von Duprin and Falcon electrified door hardware.
