Allegion Connect, a factory-installed Molex connector system that makes use of quick-connect harnesses and hinges for easier installation and maintenance, is a standard feature of the L909x Series electrified mortise. Another option is to use conventional wire splicing techniques to install the lock after cutting the connector. The Allegion Connect harnesses and hinges are available for purchase separately. The wood door harness has connectors on one end with crimped pins and an attachable connector on the other, whereas the harness for hollow metal doors has connections on both ends (required in wood doors due to the more narrow cable raceway).
