UTC Interlogix TruVision TVD-4402 HD-TVI Dome Camera
The UTC Interlogix TruVision TVD-4402 is a 720p analog HD-TVI dome camera designed for new surveillance systems and upgrades to existing coaxial CCTV infrastructure. The camera combines a 1280 x 720 resolution 1/3-inch CMOS sensor with a 2.8-12 mm f/1.4 varifocal lens, allowing installers to adjust the field of view for entrances, corridors, parking areas, retail spaces, and other monitored locations without replacing existing coaxial cabling.
The TVD-4402 provides True Day/Night imaging, Digital Wide Dynamic Range (DWDR), and infrared illumination up to 132 ft (40 m). An automatic IR-cut filter switches between daytime color imaging and nighttime monochrome operation, while Smart IR helps manage infrared illumination across changing scene conditions. Published specifications list minimum illumination down to 0 lux with the integrated IR LEDs active and a digital signal-to-noise ratio of 52 dB with automatic gain control disabled.
The camera supports selectable HD-TVI and 960H composite video output, providing compatibility with HD-TVI recording equipment while also supporting a conventional analog monitor output for installation and service. Camera settings can be configured through the built-in OSD button or TruVision Coax control. The NTSC camera uses standard BNC video connectivity and operates from either 12 VDC or 24 VAC power, with maximum published power consumption of 3.5 W at 12 VDC and 5 W at 24 VAC.
The TVD-4402 is built for exposed commercial surveillance locations with an IP66 environmental rating and IK10 vandal-resistant enclosure. The dome measures approximately 5.72 inches wide by 4.89 inches high (145.3 x 124.2 mm) and weighs approximately 1.41 lb (641 g) without the back box. Its combination of adjustable optics, 40 m infrared illumination, dual analog video formats, and hardened enclosure makes it suitable for upgrading legacy coax-based surveillance systems where 720p HD video and outdoor durability are required.
