Securitron EPS-05 EcoPower Power Supply

The Securitron EPS-05 EcoPower power supply is designed to work with low-power electrified access control devices. This small aesthetic power supply reduces standby power consumption to only 8.5mW (0.0085W), a 99% energy savings compared to current linear and switching power supplies. EcoPower can also reduce total door power consumption by 99% from up to 20W to a phenomenal 0.3W, when paired with a lock like EcoFlex from SARGENT and Corbin Russwin. The low power consumption means that the included EcoPower battery provides 24 or more hours of backup power. EcoPower is the most efficient, fully featured power supply available today.

If you’re looking for the most efficient power supply on the market to save energy and lower door power consumption, you need the Securitron EcoPower. This aesthetically simple power supply has a host of features, and at 4” by 4” by 3-” and 1.7 lbs it is small enough to be installed in a convenient place near a door lock. Inside the enclosure there are two outputs, one each for the lock and the credential, a battery charger, access control inputs, and a fire alarm input with optional fire alarm latching. The 100 mAH sealed AGM lead acid battery included with the power supply provides up to 26 hours of backup power. The EcoPower uses its battery to supply energy to the electrified lock, and draws energy from the wall to charge that battery less than once a day, only as needed.

The EcoPower has universal input capabilities with 100-240VAC voltage. It has 14V output voltage with a 0.5A peak output current, and a 0.1A continuous output current. It has standby power of less than 10mW at 115V, and less than 20mW at 230V. The operating temperature should run between -4 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, or -20 to 50 degrees Celsius. It also features low current wire runs, reduced wire run length, a fire alarm input and an access control input.

The EcoPower features three convenient mounting options for a variety of installation needs. The power supply can be surface mounted, recessed into drywall, or mounted above a drop ceiling. You can even mount it on an existing UL listed double gang junction box if you don't want to install it with the factory box. There are several small screws, and paper instructions included in the box to assist with installation.

You can also be assured that Securitron stands behind its products, with a MagnaCare lifetime replacement, no fault warranty. The battery that is included is however not covered under the MagnaCare warranty.
