Securitron AQD4 4A Dual Voltage Access Control Power Supply

The Securitron AQD4 is a 4 A supervised switching power supply with field-selectable 12 or 24 VDC output for access control and security systems. It accepts 120 or 240 VAC input, includes a dedicated lead-acid battery charging circuit, provides AC-failure and low-battery supervision, and can support up to 16 independently controlled power-limited outputs with compatible Securitron distribution boards.

The Securitron AQD4 is a supervised switching power supply designed for access control, electrified locking, and security system applications. It provides 4 A of continuous output at either 12 or 24 VDC, selected in the field to match connected equipment. The AQD4 accepts 120 or 240 VAC input and tolerates input voltage variations of 15%, helping maintain regulated DC power during brownout and overvoltage conditions.

The AQD4 includes a dedicated battery charging circuit for 12 or 24 V lead-acid standby batteries, including wet, AGM, and sealed lead-acid types. Battery supervision includes reverse-polarity protection, low-battery monitoring, and automatic battery disconnect when battery voltage falls below the supported threshold. The AQD4 supports batteries from 4 Ah to 72 Ah and provides up to 500 mA maximum battery recharge current.

The power supply provides Form C supervisory relay contacts for AC failure and low-battery conditions, along with LED status indication for local system monitoring. Electronic protection includes overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown with automatic restart, and Class II power-limited DC output. Compatible Securitron distribution boards can expand the AQD4 to configurations with up to 16 individually controlled outputs for multiple locks, readers, controllers, or auxiliary devices.

The Securitron AQD4 is supplied in a 14 x 14 x approximately 4.8-inch metal enclosure and operates from -4 F to 122 F (-20 C to 50 C), with UL evaluation from 32 F to 120 F. The power supply is UL 294, UL 603, ULC-S318, and ULC-S533 listed and carries Securitron's MagnaCare lifetime replacement warranty. Its dual-voltage output, battery backup capability, supervision, and expandable distribution architecture make it suitable for multi-door commercial access control installations.
