With many complex systems, come many interchangeable and movable parts that are required to make the entire system function properly. One such part that can be invaluable during an installation is the Seco-Larm E-931ACC-HR1Q Reflector Hood. The emitter and receiver are installed in the same housing and light from the emitter is normally reflected back to the receiver by a reflector installed on the opposite side, which is normally covered by a hood to protect it from any sort of meddling. The hood is interchangeable and can be used with either the circular or square reflectors. It protects the reflector from dirt and reduces interference with IR beam. While it sounds simple, this is the core of the product. When emitted light is interrupted or reflected by the sensing object, it changes the amount of light that arrives at the receiver. The receiver detects this change and converts it to an electrical output.
