Rosslares MD-81 is designed to be used with the AY-U910 UHF reader to convert the UHF reader data from RS-232 to a Wiegand stream of ID data. The MD-81 allows the AY-U910 to read the ID of up to 70 cards via RS-232 and then send each cards ID output one by one every 2.5 seconds to the access controller in 26 or 34 bit Wiegand data format.
