Potter / Amseco UD-2000 (3992769) UD-2000 DACT FOR AFC/ARC/PFC-4064
Up to two (2) phone lines can be used by the UD-2000 Digital Alarm Communicator Transmitter (DACT) to communicate with a monitoring station. The SIADCS or Ademco Contact ID protocols are used to interact with the UD-2000. When turned on, each phone line or voltage is automatically monitored by the DACT, which also has the potential to grab the line and establish a connection with a distant receiver. The DACT will hang up when the exchange is over.
Two RJ45 cords and terminal blocks for each phone line are included with the DACT. The DACT must be installed on a POTS line or an equivalent as determined by the authority with jurisdiction for it to function effectively. To ensure that it can grab the phone line, the DACT must be put before any other equipment.
Due to their high voltage, phone lines ought to be put through a different conduit than other circuits. The DACT should be connected to the phone system using wire conductors that are at least 26 AWG in diameter.
