HES 1006 Series faceplates are the interchangeable plates that make the HES 1006 the most versatile electric strike in the line - one strike body adapted to virtually every cylindrical and mortise lockset, with or without a 1" deadbolt, plus specialty bolts. Each option pairs a plate geometry with an operating behavior: plain latchbolt release, deadbolt night latch (deadbolt retracted during traffic hours), deadbolt lockout (strike will not release while the deadbolt is extended), or deadbolt recapture.
Standard plates measure 4-7/8" x 1-1/4"; the -2 versions are 9" x 1-3/8" plates for wood applications. Current-generation options replace groups of legacy plates (for example HM replaces H, HTD replaces HD and HT, KM replaces K), and the legacy options remain orderable for exact replacements. Order by option and finish (for example KM-630) in seven finishes.

- How do I pick the right faceplate?
- Match three things: the lock type (cylindrical, mortise, specialty bolt), whether it has a 1" deadbolt, and the deadbolt behavior you want - night latch (ND/NM), lockout (HM/HTD), or both modes (DB).
- What is the difference between night latch and lockout?
- Night latch: the deadbolt stays retracted during traffic hours and the keeper releases the latchbolt. Lockout: the strike refuses to release while the deadbolt is extended.
- Why do KD/KM and ND/NM split by brand?
- Mortise faceplate pockets are lock specific: KD/ND/HTD fit the Sargent 7700/8100, Schlage, and ACCENTRA 8700 pattern; KM/NM/HM fit Accurate, Arrow, Baldwin, Best, Corbin Russwin, Falcon, Marks, PDQ, Sargent 7800/8200/9200, and ACCENTRA 8800.
- What are the -2 options?
- Longer 9" x 1-3/8" versions of the standard plates for wood applications (J-2, KM-2, DB-2, and the legacy -2 plates).
- My old plate letter is not made anymore - what replaces it?
- H is replaced by HM; HD and HT by HTD; K by KM; K-2 combined into KM-2; H-2 and N-2 by DB-2; A-2 and T-2 by CAS-2. The legacy plates on this page remain orderable for exact replacements.
- Do I need a faceplate if I bought a Complete Pac?
- The 1006CLB, 1006CDB, 1006CAS, and 1006CS kits already bundle their faceplate sets - order individually only for options outside your kit or finish-matched replacements.
