Edwards Signaling EGCAVRF-CVR Ceiling Cover, Red, FIRE Marking, Audio/Visual
The sleek, low-profile design and energy-efficient technology of the horns and strobes in the Genesis LED EGC Series make them less expensive to install and operate by reducing overhead. LEDs with superior performance need fewer power supplies, backup power, and batteries. These new appliances are designed with life safety and energy efficiency in mind.
In exchange for lower current requirements, the Genesis LED EGC Series employs high efficiency optics and patented electronics to provide a highly controlled and efficiently focused light distribution pattern. Strobes have a selectable light output of 15, 30, 75, or 115 cd.
Compared to Xenon-type strobes, Genesis LED EGC Series appliances require fewer power supplies and typically a smaller wire gauge, reducing conduit requirements. Additionally, they are compatible with legacy strobes, so there is no need to replace all existing devices in order to upgrade to LED technology. In fact, EGC strobes and Xenon-based strobes can coexist on the same circuit and in the same field of view. Consequently, the Genesis LED EGC Series is ideal for both new installations and retrofits.
Field-configurable sound output levels give modern life safety projects the flexibility they require, while the Genesis LED control protocol keeps multiple strobes on compatible NAC circuits synchronized well within NFPA 72 requirements.
Another area in which EGC Series appliances excel is usability. The universal room side wiring plate permits pre-installation and electrical wiring, as well as continuity testing with the diagnostics check bar included. Then, EGC Series devices can be easily snapped into place with the assurance that the wiring is accurate. Innovative under-cover diagnostic test points facilitate device circuit testing during installation.
