The Genesis range of audible and visible emergency signaling systems are the tiniest and most compact in the world. These gadgets, roughly the size of a deck of playing cards, are meant to blend in with any building setting. Edwards Genesis horn/strobes require no cumbersome specular reflectors. Instead, a unique mask-and-cavity design channels and conditioning light to provide a highly tunable distribution pattern. FullLight technology is the result of intensive research and development of this innovative technology. It represents a new benchmark for strobe performance.

The output of the horn/strobes of the EG1-HDVM series is tunable from 15 to 110 candelas through a switch on the device's side. Even after complete installation, the candela output setting remains clearly visible, but is locked in place to prevent unauthorized tampering. Its horn output reaches up to 99 dB and has a distinctive multiple-frequency tone, resulting in great wall penetration and a clear warning of danger. Horns are configurable for both coded and uncoded signal circuits. With a jumper cut that reduces horn power by 5 dB, they can also be configured for low dB output.

Strobe flashes from devices on the same circuit are synced to within 10 milliseconds of each other indefinitely when the Cat. No. EG1M Signal Master is installed. Additionally, the Signal Master enables independent horn control over a single pair of wires. Per circuit, only one Signal Master is necessary. No separate backbox is required; simply snap it onto the back of the circuit's initial signal.
