Edwards Signaling 5530MD-24AW Multi-tone Electronic Signal, 24Vdc. Produces 27 distinct tones, field selectable via an internal switch. Volume adjustable tone.
Captive Elements A heavy-duty industrial tone-selectable signaling device, the Edwards 5530MD-24AW Adaptatone Millennium is designed particularly for use in fire alarm systems and other applications requiring electrical supervision of signaling circuit field wiring. For its 55 unique tones, a microprocessor circuit is used. A tiny dip switch inside the device can be configured to select a single tone. Field-wired, normally-open contacts or a 24VDC external voltage source, such as an output of a PLC or a fire/security panel, can both be used to activate the Adaptatone Millennium. The Cat. No. 5538-4 and/or Cat. No. 5538-4R Adaptatone Signal Actuators can provide normally open contacts.
conduit 1/2" (13mm) or surface mounting. Consult the catalog pages provided on the left to see Adaptatone Signaling Installation.
Applications for unsupervised signaling may also use the signal. Application examples include shift start-and-dismissal horns, fire alarm emergency warning systems, plant evacuation and security incursion alarms, process monitoring, and paging signals.
