Low current, high performance, and loud signals from the 5520 and 5521 Series can be coded or utilized as a continuous alert.

By activating an internal, tamper-proof switch, the 5520 Series can be used as either a horn or a siren. The signal's universal Adaptaplate attaches on any single-gang aperture or straight to walls. By enabling the installer to attach all field wire to the plate before completing the installation by snapping the horn onto the plate, Adaptaplate expedites installation. Additionally, it may mount to fittings that are 3 1/4" (83mm), 3 1/2" (89mm), 4" (102mm) square boxes, 4" (102mm) octagons, or equivalent. With the help of the Edwards Cat. No. 349 rear box, the signal can be weatherproofed.

The 5521 solely functions as a horn. It must be placed on the provided Cat. No. 349 backbox using the all-purpose Adaptaplate and is designed for outdoor situations (supplied).

Schools, businesses, lumber yards, and other industrial and commercial facilities employ the 5520 and 5521 Series. For timing, paging, and alarms, the horn signal is frequently employed. The siren signal is frequently used to announce an evacuation and is especially effective in noisy environments.
