Durable weatherproof accessory for the Edwards Signaling Field Programmable Electronic Horn and Horn Strobe varieties. Box is made from high impact, flame retardant plastic that can withstand harsher outdoor conditions. Easily attaches for North American standard 4" square or two-gang box installation. Part of the Edwards Signaling 2447th Series.

To notify occupants of a life safety occurrence, 2459-WPB-R Edwards 2400 Series temporal horns and temporal horn-strobes are designed for use with appropriate life safety communication and control systems. The horn must be connected to signal circuits that output a steady (not pulsed) voltage since it emits low frequency sound up to 95 dB (@ 1 meter) in volume. To enable complete signal circuit supervision, a diode is utilized.

When utilized with a compatible synchronization source, such as the EG1M-RM synchronization module, the E-FSC and E-FSA fire panels, or the EBPS series booster supply, the strobes are made to flash at the same rate (synchronize).

The plastic housing has a slightly textured surface and is composed of tough, fire-resistant high impact polyethylene. With just one screw, the mounting plate firmly secures the object. No additional trim plate is needed. Wire up to #12 AWG (2.5mm2) can be connected using polarized terminals.

Standard "FIRE" lens markings in the wall mount form are included with 2400 Series strobes. Edwards provides extra 2440KTW and 2440KTC series Lens Marking Kits when ceiling orientation, other languages, or different lens markings are necessary.
