Advanced signal processing is combined with passive infrared (PIR) and microwave Doppler radar detection technologies in the RADION TriTech ZB Wireless Motion Detector. This combination guarantees optimal false alarm immunity and catch performance for residential and small-business applications. The detector has two Fresnel lenses designed to provide sharply-focused images throughout the whole field of vision, allowing for enhanced intrusion detection. The main lens delivers a high density (77 zone), seven-layer pattern, while the configurable lookdown lens provides three extra lookdown zones. Easy installation and adjustable mounting height give state-of-the-art detection while reducing installation time and complexity. Pet Friendly AI generates alarm signals for human intruders without false alarms from pets.

This motion detector employs the global wireless standard ZigBee for communicating with both smart gadgets and security systems in a home automation setting. This ZigBee-certified item is compatible with 2.4GHz networks worldwide.

ZigBee technology makes use of a mesh network to keep devices linked and working together, with exceptional battery life. ZigBee wireless home automation solutions integrate security with house operating and control devices, providing customers with convenience and peace of mind.

Advanced signal processing is applied to Passive Infrared (PIR) and Doppler radar by TriTech. When both technologies detect an intruder and this motion satisfies the alarm criteria of the signal processing algorithm, an alarm condition is transmitted. By combining these two technologies, the detector prevents false alerts caused by things that a PIR-only detector would have detected. Additionally, you can alter the Doppler radar's sensitivity to meet specific application needs.

This function eliminates false alerts caused by non-human targets. It modifies the detector's sensitivity in accordance with signal amplitude, polarity, slope, and time. The installer is no longer required to specify the sensitivity level.

Depending on the needs of the application, the installer can enable or disable pet immunity. When the pet immunity feature is deactivated, the detector's sensitivity is increased by roughly 20% for applications requiring greater catch performance. When pet immunity is enabled, the detector can differentiate between signals generated by humans and those generated by dogs. It ignores signals caused by one or two animals or pets up to 45 kg (100 lb) or countless rats.

The adaptive handling of background disturbances using microwave Doppler radar noise. This eliminates false alerts while preserving catch efficiency.

Patented, completely supervised Doppler radar circuitry guarantees single technology (PIR) coverage if the Doppler radar subsystem fails.

Optics and electronics are combined in the front enclosure and covered with a protective cover to prevent damage during installation and keep out insects and drafts.

A 12 m × 12 m (40 ft x 40 ft) lookdown zone and a coverage range of 12 m x 12 m (40 ft x 40 ft) provide wall-to-wall coverage. Installing the detector is facilitated by the self-locking, self-sliding casing.

The included bi-axial bubble level enables you to match the detector base to the wall's curves or mount the detector on an optional swivel mounting bracket.

Using an optional second lithium battery, the motion detector's dual-battery compartment extends the battery's lifespan. In order to conserve battery life, LED and alarm indications are visible and relayed only after three minutes have passed since the last alarm reset. Note that the LED can only be seen when the LED switch is turned on.

You can disable the externally visible alarm LED to maximize battery life. You can activate the LED to display motion detection for client assurance. About six months are subtracted from the battery life when the LED is left on.
