The FingerVein Reader images the veins in a fingertip using near-infrared light to gather biometric data. This reduces the overall impact of skin surface conditions such as cuts, dirt or moisture and allows for consistent, accurate and speedy processing. Given the biological nature of veins, it is difficult to forge and impossible to manipulate them, as they are invisible to the naked eye.
