American Fibertek MTX487 RS485/RS422 Data System, One Fiber Module, Multimode, ST Connectors, 1310nm Tx

The American Fibertek MTX487 is a one fiber transmitter module component of the 487 series which transmits and receives two channels of RS485 data (2 wire or 4 wire user configurable) or RS422 data or 1 of each over a single multimode optical fiber. The system is comprised of two transceivers forming a point-to-point communications link. The system is designed to be completely transparent to data protocol. For ease of installation, diagnostic indicators provide a quick visual indication of system status. Equipment may be ordered as stand alone modules or rack cards that are mounted in the American Fibertek Card Cages: SR-20/1, SR-20/2 or SR-20R/1.
