Adams Rite MS+1890-3015-313 MS+ DEADLOCK/LATCH

Maximum security deadlock for traffic management and after-hours use is offered by the MS+ 1890 Series MS Deadlock/Deadlatch, which also offers deadlatch convenience during regular business hours.

Function: Traffic control management during the working day and maximum security MS+ deadlock after hours. In a typical installation, a bank or business has to have three door control options:
1. During business hours, both lock and latchbolts are retracted to allow for unhindered entry and exit.
2. After closing, a handle-operated latch for exit-only traffic
3. MS hookbolt for overnight lockdown with maximum security. Only the latchbolt is operated by the handle or paddle when the trim (sold separately) is used to activate.

Operation: A thumbturn or a key turned 360 degrees extends or retracts the hookbolt. A further 120 degree spin also retracts the latchbolt. A normal 1" [25.4 mm] length, 1-5/32" [29.4 mm] diameter, MS cam-equipped mortise cylinder with MS cam, like the 4036 Mortise Cylinder, or a separate thumbturn, like the 4066 Thumbturn, are both compatible with the lock. Cylinder might come from either side or both. Only the spring-loaded latchbolt retracts when the handle is pulled back when the trim is activated (sold separately). Please get in touch with the factory if your door is thicker than 1-3/4".

Cylinder Backset: 31/32", 1-1/8", or 1-1/2" (38.1 mm), among other specifications.

Case: Depth varies depending on backset, measuring 1" x 7-3/8" x depth (25.4 mm x 187.3 mm x depth) (see table on catalog page). steel with a coating that resists corrosion

Deadlock bolt: 13/16" [20.6 mm] throw, 5/8" x 1-3/8" [15.9 mm x 34.9 mm] in size. laminated stainless steel with eight plies. The door's hook design deters attempts to "spread" it from its jamb or take it off its track with pry bars, and the centerply's alumina-ceramic core protects it from sawing attacks, particularly those made with rod-type "super" hacksaws.
Measures 5/8" × 5/8" [15.9 mm x 15.9 mm] and has a throw of 7/16" [11.1 mm]. Delrin-faced zinc alloy for silent, squeaky movement. Reversible handling is simple. Door can swing freely if the bolt is held fully retracted (see illustration on back of catalog page).

Strike: Steel mounting plate, dustbox, and satin stainless steel trimplate on an armored strike. Fully furnished apartment. Additionally available for door pairs with radiused edges or flat corners for ANSI hollow metal jambs. Longer-lip flat strikes are also available. Electric strikes cannot be utilized with the MS+1890 Deadlock/Latch.

Standard Packaging: Individually packaged with mounting strike and machine screws. Available individually are the thumbturn and the cylinder.

Handle and paddle can be purchased individually for either the left or right side. The problem of doors that stand ajar owing to wind or air conditioning pressures is resolved with the least amount of traffic obstruction by handles and paddles on both sides.
Can be configured for right- or left-handed use.
Three different anodized finishes are available: 313 Dark bronze, 335 black, and 628 clear.
