Adams Rite 2290-411-101-32D DEADBOLT/DEADLATCH SATIN STAINLESS
For hollow metal or wood doors, the 2290-411-101-32D series Deadlock/Deadlatch combines the protection of a deadbolt with the access control capabilities of a latch. The deadbolt (and deadlatch) are extended and retracted by the key from either side. For quick, simple, panic-proof evacuation, the exterior lever retracts the latch merely, while the inside lever simultaneously retracts the lock and latch. By rotating the key to retract the latch and sliding the holdback button on the faceplate down to hold and up to release, the latch holdback feature can be activated or deactivated. It's designed to fit outward-swinging doors.
Function
The Dual Force 2290 combines a latch's access control powers with a deadbolt's security. The deadbolt (and deadlatch) are extended and retracted by the key from either side. For quick, simple, panic-proof evacuation, the exterior lever retracts the latch merely, while the inside lever simultaneously retracts the lock and latch. intended for doors that open outward.
Opetation
Deadbolt or deadlatch are extended or retracted by a key or thumbturn. When fitted with the interconnect feature, the inside lever retracts both. Only the outside lever retracts the latch. By rotating the key to retract the latch and sliding the holdback button on the faceplate down to hold and up to release, the latch holdback feature can be activated or deactivated.
Any door system that needs unfettered operation from the interior at all times but access from the exterior only seldom is best served by dead latches. Adams Rite has decades of experience working with commercial applications like this and provides a variety of dead latches to suit any circumstance.
Electrified dead latch set by Adams Rite It flawlessly integrates mechanical locking hardware with narrow backset, no-handed operation, and access control. The set can be manually operated or utilized with a timer.
Other death latches are available in ANSI sizes and vary from the standard duty to the heavy duty models. The heavy-duty deal latches are made of solid brass and have an auxiliary latchpin made of stainless steel. The normal duty death latches have an all-metal auxiliary latchpin and internal pins made of hardened steel.
All Adams Rite dead latches have a bolt holdback provision that enables the door to operate as free swinging, often during business hours, by turning the key in the other direction to retain the bolt.
You will be able to choose the ideal dead latch for any existing door or new door installation thanks to a range of sizes and trim packages.
