Fire Alarm Circuit Breaker Lockout Kits

The Space Age ELOCK-FA is a fire alarm circuit breaker lockout kit that identifies and secures the branch-circuit disconnect supplying fire alarm and emergency communications equipment. Installed at the electrical panel, the lockout device helps keep the protected circuit clearly identified and restricts unintended operation of the breaker. The kit is designed to support circuit identification, accessibility and breaker lockout requirements for applicable fire alarm installations.

The kit includes a steel circuit breaker lockout tab, powder coated red with white FIRE ALARM lettering, a hex key, and an adhesive identification sheet with labels for marking the locked-out circuit and its panel location. A single hex screw secures the tab to the circuit breaker using the supplied hex key, and the combined tab and labels help reduce accidental breaker deactivation and unapproved resetting during service or routine building maintenance. The ELOCK-FA is commonly used with fire alarm control panels, notification appliance circuit power supplies, transponders and other life-safety equipment supplied by dedicated branch circuits, and its compact mechanical design requires no electrical connections or power source.
