Schlage

Schlage has built door hardware since Walter Schlage founded the company in 1920, and today, as part of Allegion, it is one of the most specified lock brands in North America. The line spans Grade 1 and Grade 2 commercial locks, electronic and access-control hardware, and the high-security key systems that protect institutional, commercial, and multifamily buildings. JMAC stocks the commercial side of the Schlage catalog: bored and mortise locksets, wireless and hardwired electronic locks, readers and credentials, and the cylinders, cores, and keying supplies that hold a master key system together.

Commercial Cylindrical and Mortise Locks

The ALX (AL-Series) Grade 2 cylindrical lock is the workhorse of Schlage's commercial line. One chassis covers every common opening by function: ALX10 passage, ALX40 privacy, ALX50 entrance/office, ALX53 entrance, ALX70 classroom, and ALX80 storeroom. Each is built to ANSI/BHMA Grade 2 with a 2-3/4 inch backset and ships the way you spec it, with a choice of lever design such as Sparta and finishes ranging from satin chrome (626) and satin nickel (619) to matte black (622) and oil-rubbed bronze (613). Choose the function, lever, finish, and keying, and the configured lock is priced and ready to order.

For heavier traffic, the ND-Series steps up to Grade 1 cylindrical strength with Vandlgard free-spinning levers that resist forced rotation, and the L-Series mortise lock carries Grade 1 ratings for the most demanding institutional doors. All three line up with Schlage's full set of commercial door lock functions, so a building can standardize on one look across passage, classroom, office, and storeroom openings.

Electronic and Access-Control Locks

Schlage bridges mechanical hardware and electronic access control. The NDE and LE wireless locks use ENGAGE technology to read credentials right at the door and run standalone or networked through a gateway, putting access control on openings that were never wired for it. The AD-Series modular locks, hardwired AD-300 and wireless AD-400, integrate with panel-based systems and accept changing reader and credential technologies over time. These battery-powered and hardwired locks suit retrofit and new construction where pulling power to a strike or maglock is impractical. Where a door calls for a separate locking device, the GF3000 electromagnetic lock provides 3,000 pounds of holding force; see all magnetic locks.

Readers and Credentials

Schlage's multi-technology readers, including the MT-Series and the SM10 mullion reader, read both 125 kHz proximity and 13.56 MHz smart credentials, which lets a site migrate from legacy prox to encrypted smart cards without swapping every reader at once. Matching credentials include proximity cards, MIFARE smart cards, and key fobs. Specify the reader, credential, and card format together so they match the controller they report to.

Key Systems, Cylinders, and Cores

Key control is where Schlage's commercial depth shows. Primus and Primus XP cylinders add UL 437 high-security protection with patented, patent-controlled keyways that block unauthorized duplication, while the Everest family provides restricted keying for everyday master key systems. Full-size (FSIC) and small-format (SFIC) interchangeable cores let a facility rekey an opening by swapping the core with a control key, no lock disassembly required. JMAC carries the cylinders, cores, key blanks, pinning kits, and keying supplies to build and maintain a master key system.
