Schlage B571 Door Bolt Occupancy Indicator (Discontinued)

The Schlage B571 Door Bolt Occupancy Indicator is a revolutionary new deadbolt that delivers higher security, tougher performance, and the ultimate in installation versatility. Designed by locksmiths for locksmiths, the B571 can be fitted with any Schlage cylinder, fits virtually every door, enhances lock strength on the jamb side of the door, and will change forever the way you look at deadbolts. The B571 features an occupancy indicator that displays "In use" or "Vacant" and requires a 1 1/2" cross bore prep. It is available in various finishes, including Bright Brass, Satin Brass, Antique Brass, Satin Bronze, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Satin Nickel, Bright Chrome, and Aged Bronze.

The B571 has an adjustable backset with a lock-in-place helix design, an integrated anti-pry shield, and a thicker metal security strike back-up on the jamb side. It also features a seamless steel construction, a 10% larger diameter deadbolt, and a zinc bolt with a spinning hardened steel pin inside. The tapered front housing can't be unscrewed, and the integrated trim piece reduces the number of pieces out of the box. The large, easy-to-use, ADA-compliant thumbturn makes it easy to throw and retract the deadbolt.

The B571 has a 1" (25 mm) throw, high-strength steel alloy deadbolt with a hardened steel roller that resists sawing and kick-in attacks. The precision-built solid brass 6-pin cylinders with phosphor bronze springs and nickel silver pins ensure long life and smooth operation. The tough nickel silver keys provide smooth, long-lasting operation, and the exclusive concealed wood frame reinforcer protects the wood jamb against kick-in attacks.

Specifications include handing, door thickness, backset, front, deadbolt, latch bolt, exposed trim, thumbturn, and strike. The B571 meets or exceeds ANSI A156.5 Grade 2 strength and operational requirements and is UL10B Listed as an auxiliary lock for A label single doors. It is also ADA compliant and offers a wide selection of locks designed to meet the Americans With Disabilities Act.
