The Notifier FPTI-951 is a white, plug-in addressable multi-criteria detector that replaces the FAPT-851 Series. It combines photoelectric, thermal, and infrared (PTIR) sensors in a single unit to detect multiple components of a fire. This multi-sensor approach enables enhanced sensitivity to real fires with heightened immunity to nuisance particulates.
Sophisticated algorithms maximize the advantages of all three sensor types, greatly reducing nuisance alarms compared to single-sensing methods. The infrared sensor discerns light patterns in the environment as an additional data point for alarm determination. The FPTI-951 features rotary decimal address switches, dual LEDs for 360-degree visual indication, and is compatible with FlashScan protocol systems. It plugs into a compatible intelligent detector base.
