Surface Door Closers

The 1600 series is the storefront closer: Grade 1 tri mount units for pull side or push side mounting with a 180 degree swing, adjustable size 1-6 and a 3 hour fire rating, suited to aluminum storefront doors and frames, with parallel rigid arm and delayed action versions listed alongside. The 8000 series covers the architectural end, with staked valves, precise valve adjustment and a full range of arm and cover options, in hydraulic tri mount versions with adjustable backcheck and plastic or full metal covers.

For lighter budgets, the 9300BC is an economically priced closer for commercial exterior and interior doors such as storefront and industrial applications, listed by spring size, and the 9500 is listed tri-packed in hold open versions at adjustable size 1-6. Finishes run across aluminum painted, dark bronze and statuary bronze.

Hold Open and Power Track Closers

CloserPlus closers put the hold open in the closer itself, listed with a turnturn hold open in heavy-duty form. The Power Track series goes further, combining a single-point electromechanical door holder with a standard 7700 series closer: the track assembly contains an arm slide and a solenoid operated hold open mechanism, and is available with or without an integral smoke detector, so the door releases on alarm without a separate holder on the wall. Fuses for the power tracks are listed as service parts.

Unitrol Arm Closers

Unitrol arm closers combine a closer with a stop and hold open built into the arm, which protects the door and frame on openings exposed to wind. They are listed at adjustable size 1-6 and by door width, such as 33-41 and 42-48. Unitrol arms are listed on the 8000 and 9500 closer bodies in several finishes.

Low Energy Door Operators

Low energy operators open the door for a user rather than holding it closed. The 5700 series is surface mounted electrohydraulic, listed with a slide track arm for pull side mounting on 29 to 36 inch doors at a 110 degree swing, with dummy units for the inactive leaf of a pair and an inverter for battery backup. The 6000 series is electromechanical, with a low ceiling push side version at 37-3/8 inches overall length and a 110 to 135 degree swing. ADAEZ Pro operators and their battery assemblies are listed with them, along with a wireless push switch kit containing two wall switches, two transmitters, a receiver and 9V batteries in stainless steel.

Arms, Tracks, Drop Plates and Parts

Most of this catalog is service parts. Complete arm assemblies are listed in hold open and non-hold open versions for the 1600, 7500, 7700, 8000 and 9300 series, with push side slide track assemblies for track arm closers and arm and track sets for the 5600 series operators. Drop plates mount a closer where the frame face is too narrow, retrofit plates replace competitor closers such as a Rixson M2020 on a 7500 series body, and covers, brackets and fuses complete the range.
