What can the GSMVLP5-4G do for the LYNX Touch L5100?

The GSMVLP5-4G is a cellular communicator that can be installed to create a reliable line of communication between the L5100 and your central monitoring station.

The GSMVLP5-4G is installed inside the L5100 and must be activated with your alarm monitoring dealer before it can function correctly. After the communicator is activated and programmed into the L5100, alarm signals will be sent to your central station using a wireless, cellular network. Cellular communicators create a reliable backup line of communication that can continue to work even if your plain old telephone line should become damaged or cut. Adding this communicator also makes your system compatible with Honeywell's interactive Total Connect Service. When the L5100 Z-Wave Module is installed, users can then use their smartphones to communicate through the GSMVLP5-4G to control Z-wave locks, lights, and thermostats.
