How do I wire sirens to the Vista 15P Control Panel?

Here's how to wire sirens to your Vista 15P...

Terminals 3 and 4 on the Vista 15P Control Panel are designated for wired sirens. If you want to connect multiple sirens, you will have to wire them in parallel by connecting positive siren terminals to terminal 3 on the control panel, and negative siren terminals to terminal 4 on the control panel.

Be aware of the current draw of the siren you're using because the Vista 15P's 2.0 amps of current will be divided among these sirens. For example, the Honeywell 747PD siren takes a 400 mA current, which means your 15P can provide enough power for 5 of them. The WAVE2 siren, on the other hand, has a 0.5 amp draw. Your Vista 15P can only support 4 of these sirens, unless you add an auxiliary power supply, like the Honeywell AD12612, which can give you 1.2 amps of additional power.

Connecting wireless sirens using the 6160RF Keypad is a popular choice because wireless sirens don't draw power from the control panel.
