The Lynx Touch is an all-in-one control panel and touchscreen keypad with a built-in telephone dialer. The system can still communicate with central station over a copper telephone line without any additional features. However, in order to qualify for Honeywell's Total Connect Service, an internet communicator and/or cellular communicator would have to be installed.
What Honeywell Total Connect Service Does...
Total Connect offers a multitude of interactive features that create a more integrated alarm system for your home or place of business. It gives users the ability to remotely arm or disarm their security system using a computer or mobile device, such as a smart phone. Furthermore, the service automatically sends email and text message alerts to inform users should a security event occur.
