Power Protection for Recording Appliances
A recorder that loses power mid write loses the footage and sometimes the file system with it, which is why a VMS appliance belongs on a UPS rather than a power strip. These are line interactive UPS units with TBF and SMART GROUND+ shutdown software, listed in black.
Three sizes are listed at 800/480, 1000/600 and 1400/980 VA and watts, all at 120/120 volts in and out, with eight outlets on the larger units, a USB comm port and RJ45 and RJ11 protection for network and phone lines. Each ships with SMART GROUND+ shutdown software, which closes the recorder down cleanly when the battery runs low, and the smallest adds an LCD display.
