HPC Tension and Torque Tools

Incorrect tension is one of the most common causes of picking failure, so HPC lists light, medium and rigid tension tools in several styles. TR tools come in single side twist, double twist, straight rigid and tulip-shaped knob designs, in lengths from 2-1/4 inches to 5-1/4 inches, and the VV-6 is a double sided grooved rigid tool at 2 inches. TEN letter box-type tension tools are listed from 3/4 inch to 1-1/2 inch.

TNT torque and tension tools apply a measured amount of turning force: they use dual prongs to keep the plug in alignment, leave a large opening diameter so picks can still enter, and are listed with an easy-to-read indicator or with a spring loaded adjustable prong and spring controlled tension. The FIT-2 Flip-It flips a plug picked in the wrong direction past the upper pins instead of repicking it, works on disc tumbler locks and takes the FIT-BLADE replacement blade.
