Wireless (SWIFT)
Wireless Fire Alarm Devices
Some buildings cannot practically take new fire alarm cable: historic structures with plaster walls, occupied offices, finished ceilings, or a detached building across a parking lot. SWIFT wireless devices put listed addressable fire detection in those spaces without opening walls, while reporting to the panel exactly as wired devices do.
The W-GATE gateway sits on the panel's signaling line circuit and bridges it to the wireless devices, which form a self-healing mesh so each device can reach the gateway through its neighbors. The device list mirrors the wired line: the W-SD355T photoelectric smoke detector with a 135 degree Fahrenheit heat sensor, W-H355 fixed and W-H355R rate-of-rise heat detectors, and the W-BG12LX dual-action pull station. The W-MMF monitor module brings dry-contact devices onto the mesh and the W-CRF relay module switches door holders, fans, and elevator recall. Commissioning uses the SWIFT Tools software on a laptop with the W-USB radio dongle to survey the site and set up the mesh, and the W-DIS-D display driver annunciates wireless-specific events on a dedicated ANN-80-W.
