EMX Thru Beam Photoeyes

A thru beam photoeye puts a transmitter on one side of the opening and a receiver on the other. Break the beam and the operator reverses. Most gate and door operators are wired for a thru beam pair, and easy alignment is what keeps the install short.

The IRB-4X works without lenses so it is easy to align, making it less sensitive to fog, dust, snow and sunlight, and is used as a safety, reversing or opening device with automatic operators. The IRB-MON is the monitored, weather-proof version providing entrapment protection for doors, gates and barriers, UL325 compliant and housed in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure, and its universal design works with operators that require a frequency heartbeat for monitored operation and with those that require relay connections. The IRB-325 is an external entrapment protection, device-type B1, non-contact sensor for automatic gate operators.
