Reading a licence plate is not the same job as watching a gate. The camera has to resolve plate characters on a moving vehicle at night.

The camera listed here does that over coaxial cable rather than Ethernet, described as using existing coaxial cables to transmit crystal-clear 1080p images. Where coaxial cable already reaches the gate, no new cable is installed.

It sits in the same universal HD family as the rest of the Star-Light Plus range, so it feeds the same recorder as the general surveillance cameras on site.
