Cypress Wireless Handheld Readers

A handheld reader verifies credentials by wirelessly communicating with a live database, so a guard at a temporary gate, a muster point or an event entrance checks against the same permissions as a fixed door.

Kits are listed by frequency and by lane count. Low frequency covers 125KHz prox, high frequency covers 13.56MHz smart credentials, and dual frequency kits read both at 125KHz and 13.56MHz. Single lane and dual lane versions are listed, with HID iCLASS and prox support, in grey and white housings.

The newer kits carry wireless OSDP Secure Channel with AES-128 encryption, which matters because a handheld reader is by definition operating outside the wiring closet. Reader only versions are listed for adding to an existing kit.
