How do I adjust the closing speed of my TB175 Gate Closer?

First, locate the screw at the end of the TB175 Gate Closer. Then, with a screwdriver, turn the screw to the right or the left to increase/decrease the gate's closing speed. Adjusting this screw opens and closes the hydraulic valves inside the gate closer that control hydraulic pressure. Opening valves will result in a faster close time. The reverse is true for closing hydraulic valves.

Make sure not to turn the screw too quickly. It could damage the hydraulic closer. Tighten or loosen with small turns until you reach a closing speed that meets your satisfaction.
