Where is the date code on a Sealed Lead Acid Battery?
What are manufacturer date codes?
A date code is a series of numbers and/or letters that show when a product was manufactured. For most sealed lead acid batteries, the date code is stamped on the cover of the battery, and is 4-5 digits long. It shows the day, month, and year a specific battery was made. This is important for batteries, which can lose capacity over time whether through use or because they're left dormant for too long without recharging.
