That depends on what features you are looking for, but for the most part, the LYNX Touch L5100 takes the cake when it comes to home security systems.

The LYNX Touch L5100 is a self-contained, wireless security system. But what does that mean? The L5100 has a graphic touchscreen keypad built in to its control panel. Unlike the Vista Series Panels, the L5100 doesn't require users to hardwire a separate alarm keypad to the panel. Also, the L5100 is the most convenient to use and install. All you have to do is mount the device near a common entryway and plug it in to a standard wall outlet. The control panel can support up to 63 wireless door/window sensors, motion detectors, and glassbreak detectors throughout the house, thus avoiding messy, unnecessary wiring.

The L5100 also can work as a Z-Wave controller when the L5100 Z-Wave Module is added. This gives users remote control of Z-wave compatible locks, lights, thermostats, and other electrical devices.

The L5100 can be outfitted with the L5100-WiFi internet communicator and the GSMVLP5-4G Cellular Communicator. Installing just one of these communicators makes the panel compatible with Honeywell's Total Connect Service, which gives users full remote control of their system using a smartphone, tablet, or other device with an internet connection. Choosing to install both communicators will create reliable, dual-path backup communication with central station should a telephone cord become damaged or cut.
