Functions
For general-purpose applications, flush-mount ceiling loudspeakers are available. This full-range loudspeaker features a high sound pressure level and a broad frequency range, making it excellent for speech and music reproduction in stores, department stores, schools, workplaces, hotels, and restaurants. A 100 V matching transformer is installed on the back of the 6 W dual-cone loudspeaker and frame. A round metal grille is built into the front fascia. The design and color have been chosen to be subtle in the vast majority of interiors. A dust cover safeguards the back.
Accreditations and Approvals
In compliance with IEC 268-5 Power Handling Capacity (PHC) regulations, all Bosch loudspeakers are designed to survive 100 hours of operation at their rated power. The Simulated Acoustical Feedback Exposure (SAFE) test was also developed by Bosch to demonstrate that the components can resist double their rated power for brief durations. This ensures greater dependability under harsh conditions, resulting in greater customer satisfaction, a longer service life, and a much reduced likelihood of failure or performance degradation.
Installation
The assembly can be quickly and easily placed into a ceiling cavity and fastened with two inbuilt spring-loaded ceiling locking clamps (for ceilings and wall boards from 9 to 25 mm thick). The loudspeaker includes a circular template for marking a 172 mm (6.7 in) diameter hole.

Terminal Building
The device is equipped with a two-way terminal block with push connectors for loop-through wiring. The matching transformer has three primary taps for selecting nominal full-power, half-power, or quarter-power radiation (i.e. in 3 dB steps).

LBC 3080/01 Fire Dome
The ceiling cavity can allow fire or smoke to spread throughout a building during a fire. To prevent fire from entering the cavity via the ceiling loudspeaker, an LBC 3080/01 steel fire dome can be installed. Using four self-tapping screws included with the fire dome, this is attached to the loudspeaker system. The firedome features knockouts for two provided grommets and two cable glands (PG 13).
