The Aiphone IX-MV7-HB IP Video Answering Station provides centralized visitor communication, video monitoring, and remote door control for commercial and institutional access management systems. Designed for the Aiphone IX and IXG Series IP intercom platforms, the black master station features a 7-inch TFT LCD touchscreen, integrated handset, built-in camera with privacy shutter, microphone, and speaker. Operators can receive calls from compatible entrance stations, door stations, and other answering stations, verify visitors through live video, and remotely release associated doors. The station supports hands-free full-duplex communication, push-to-talk simplex operation, and private full-duplex handset conversations. Its wall-mounted or desktop configuration makes it suitable for reception desks, security control rooms, schools, healthcare facilities, corporate offices, and other locations requiring controlled visitor access.

The IX-MV7-HB incorporates SIP communication, ONVIF Profile S interoperability, and a 500-station address book for managing networked intercom communications. Eight programmable speed-dial buttons provide immediate access to frequently used functions, including station calling, group paging, video monitoring, and contact output activation. The integrated 1/3-inch CMOS camera supports master-to-master video communication, while its mechanical privacy shutter allows users to block the camera when not in use. Supported audio codecs include G.711 and G.722, with H.264/AVC and Motion JPEG video encoding. The station also supports picture-in-picture monitoring, displaying video from a compatible Aiphone intercom and an associated ONVIF Profile S IP camera simultaneously. Additional communication features include scheduled bell events, station supervision, and selective or systemwide paging.

For security monitoring and external system integration, the Aiphone IX-MV7-HB includes two contact outputs, four trigger inputs, an 8-ohm 0.5-watt speaker output, and a 600-ohm audio input. Door release commands can activate the entrance associated with the connected door station, while programmable inputs and outputs support compatible auxiliary equipment and control functions. The station can record audio and video from active conversations to an optional microSD card, providing locally stored communication records when configured appropriately. Network communication uses 10/100 Mbps Ethernet with IEEE 802.3af Class 0 Power over Ethernet, delivering power and data through a single Cat-5e or Cat-6 cable. With a manufacturer-specified 4.32-watt power draw and IEEE 802.1X port-based network security support, the station integrates with compatible managed IP networks without requiring a separate local power adapter.

The IX-MV7-HB measures 8-1/16 inches high, 11 inches wide, and 2-3/16 inches deep (204 280 55.5 mm) and supports wall installation or desktop positioning using the included adjustable stand with 30 , 45 , and 60 viewing angles. Designed for indoor operation, it has an operating temperature range of 32 F to 104 F (0 C to 40 C) and is documented as UL/cUL Listed to UL 62368-1. Its integrated handset distinguishes it from the handset-free IX-MV7-B, while the separate IX-MV7-HB-L provides a T-coil-compatible handset configuration. As part of a properly configured IX or IXG intercom system, the IX-MV7-HB supports networked visitor identification, remote entrance control, station-to-station communication, and centralized security operations.
